Children's Learning Adventure is a jungle themed child care center with an emphasis on education. They came to Vilocity Interactive to create a visual presence for several aspects of their business. All the company had to work from was their pre-existing logo. My intention was to effectively strike a balance between exciting and educational. I was responsible for the website design and the flash development. I also created icons for the different areas of activity within the center that tied into the design created for their web presence. This was a really fun project to work on.
Every few years a website re-design is necessary so that your clients see that you're busy and so the appearance of your business does not become stale. This is especially important with a public relations firm. David and Sam PR contracted Vilocity Interactive for a re-design of their current website. They wanted to add some new functionality and interactivity. On this project I was responsible for the overhaul of the design and flash development. New features previously unavailable are an animated navigation, a pong game versus the David and Sam mascot (a green gorilla named Reggie), detailed client project pages, detailed staff biography and a section about David and Sam's office. There are layers of animation, from the navigation to the footer, the site is fun, vibrant and full of information about David and Sam PR.
Southwestern Business Financing Corporation, a financial lender, came to Vilocity Interactive for a re-design of their website. The only design element they wanted to keep was their logo. I was given complete creative freedom on this project and wanted the site to look different than a typical financial corporation website might. I created a clean and progressive design that makes the viewer consider the potential of his or her own business. I achieved this through an optimistic color scheme, simple but bold navigation and consistent imagery reminiscent of financial growth.
David and Sam came to Vilocity Interactive looking to spruce up a part of their website for the upcoming holiday season. They wanted a playful interpretation of what it is like to receive a bland holiday gift versus something meaningful. I was responsible for the art direction as well as the graphic design for the project. The end result was a three page website where donations could be made to various charities.
EnviroCar is an environmentally friendly car service in the Phoenix area. Vilocity Interactive was commissioned to create a template for an email newsletter. My intention was to create a stunning design that brought together all of the ideas the company stands for. The car driven from nature to a metropolitan city is highlighted by rays of sunshine exclaiming it as a bright idea. This is followed by large content areas that could easily be edited by a client through a content management system and oversized footers that display company information while bringing the newsletter to a close by extending the color scheme. Creative direction was left entirely up to me in creating this design.
eTelecare was looking to create a web page to append to their existing website for promoting careers in several of their offices. I was responsible for creating a template that could easily fit into a content management system and therefore was up-datable by the client. Due to the amount and diversity of information on the page I focused on a simple two column layout. A prominent masthead is specific to the location and aids in leading the eye into the content. Go to eTelecare careers.
Kwan Thai is an amazing Thai restaurant in Pearl River, New York. If you're in the neighborhood, I highly recommend a visit. I wanted to capture the feeling of the restaurant in the design of their website. To do so I photographed the restaurant and focused on the color scheme and Thai inspired illustrations throughout. I also included in the site a section where magazine reviews could be posted, since there are numerous articles written about the restaurant's atmosphere and delicious food.
The best cupcake I ever had in my life was made by Sugar Blossom Cupcakes! Using the client's pre-existing logo as inspiration, I was responsible for the art direction and graphic design of their website. These are two designs that were created for the client.
NCCA commissioned Vilocity Interactive to re-design their bi-monthly e-mail news template. This project was a bit of a challenge because I was given a new set of variables for design based off Microsoft's latest changes to Outlook, which eliminated the use of many common web developer techniques. I was able to create a visually stunning and appropriate design that could be built without the use of background images or floating divs.
